The Sunday Island and the Island are published by the Upali Newspapers group. Their speciality is in the publication of stale news. (subscription needed)

Daily Noise

Oops I meant daily news. The Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd, ANCL also known as the Lakehouse is a government controled organisation. Though the Peoples Alliance Government promised to privatise it back in 1994, they have not done so to date.

And It remains the government mouthpiece. To be precise the daily news and other rags printed at the lakehouse are solely for the benefit of the ruling party.

The Sunday Leader

The most outspoken of Sri Lanka's newspapers. Known for daring exposes.

The Sunday Times
