Some animals are more equal than others; those animals are pigs. The morons in Sri lanka's cabinet couldn't possibly have read or understood animal farm. Thus they are probably unaware that they are pigs. Even amongst pigs some pigs are more equal than other pigs.

If Thondaman is a pig, Mervin the pervin is a more equal pig. How often has he or his son assaulted people in public and got away with it. Of course he did run into some people who fought back at Rupavahini but then the government chose to prosecute the Rupavahini employees who defended themselves rather than arresting Mervin who was in the company of some drug dealers.

Today mervin has once again attacked a Sirasa TV camera crew. It has been captured on film and a police Jeep and a petrol car are clearly visible in the background. They pan to show a solitary policemen standing by the side doing nothing. The other probably managed to duck into shops in the vicinity so that they could claim not to have seen anything. This particular copper is probably slower than the others.

All this would have been bearable if mervin had actually been elected into parliament. He wasn't - he ended up at the bottom of the list. He got his seat thanks to former president Chandrika twisting the arms of another MP and forcing him to resign.
