All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others. That would make thondaman a pig. Thondaman, one of the most disgusting politicians in this government has been handed down a prison sentence but the judge has decided to suspend that sentence.

Here in Sri Lanka, it takes a very courageous judge or a jury to find a politician guilty of any crime. Thus even though the sentence is a suspended one, it was a couragous act. The honourable judge may now find himself being followed by white vans and he may find his tax returns are being queried. It was reported that a white van did follow the lawyers who recently petitioned the supreme court against the Slave Island evictions.

Speaking of the supreme court, the dispicable Thondaman sued himself, not once but twice this particular sentence though is from a much lower court. The president who clings on to power thanks to the stupidity of the opposition leader and thanks to dozens of ministers like Thondaman who have been bought over to the government has been quick to pardon the minister. One of his favourite public servants PB Jayasundara wasn't so lucky and has now coughed up the Rs 500,000 fine he was ordered to pay by the supreme court.
