Thondaman, The man who claims to be the representative of the up country tamil estate workers has filed a fundamental rights case in the supreme court against the arrest of thousands of tamils in Colombo.

Hello Thonda, time to wake up and smell what you are shovelling. The government that you are taking to courts is your own government.

Thondaman is a minister in this government and it's thonda and his party's votes in parliament that keep it going. If they had voted against the second reading of the appropriation bill (the budget) a few weeks ago, those arrests might never have taken place, but Thonda voted in support of it, so in effect he is suing himself. It will be no suprise if thonda votes in favour of the third reading of the budget asa well.

What about the defence ministry budget allocations then? this vote was taken after the search operations and the arrests took place, yet his party voted in support of that as well. This clearly shows that the petition to the supreme court is just eye wash, something to take back to his gullible voters.

What can you expect, this is the man who once said he will never support any government that went ahead with the upper kotmale hydro power project. He is now enjoying all the perks of being a minister while the government races ahead with this project.
