Married But Available?

November 26, 2007

Married But Available is that what MBA stands for? well after sitting through the first day of my Master of Business Administrator lectures all I have to show for it is a severe pain in the back.

It seems the University of Southern Queensland MBA that I signed up for will be spoon fed to us. Rather it will forced down our throat. We were given a huge collection of hand outs and reference material for the two subjects that covers the first semester. It's so heavy that you cannot carry it if you are going by bus. I didnt take the bus but I sure as hell didn't take the junk with me to the lecture.

Apparently our lecturers would be lost without those materials. They asked asked to open the book at certain pages and highlight certain paragraphs or sentences. Yes you heard that right. This is the sort of thing that you do at O-Levels but at a Masters course?

I would have puked if they had asked us to do the same when I was an undergraduate. Heck even then I skipped a lot more lectures than I attended (and got better grades than those who did). Isn't that what every one says? well in my case it really is true, the canteen and gym staff will vouch for me. So will many lecturers at the faculty of science and even the former dean might?

So what's my strategy for successfully completing my MBA? to attend as few lectures as possible.
