Steel Reinforcements
Work started on my new house on January 27. Seven months on, we have managed to complete the bulk of the concrete work. On the 9th we poured the roof slab now only the slab for the water tank and the odd lintel here and there remain to be done.

Concreting is a very very costly affair. Using lots and lots of high quality steel certainly isn't helping my cause. There is another house coming up on the adjoining plot and I was appalled by the lack of beams on their concrete slab. They haven't still laid the steel and it will be no suprise if they use low quality stuff with large gaps between the bars.

With the bulk of the concrete work out of the way, the masons had an opportunity to work on brickwork and plastering. Now it's almost time to put in the door frames and window frames, but the only catch is they are not ready yet.

The wiring and plumbing work needs to be completed as well, same goes for the networking but that's something I am doing on my own (but i will get the electrician to draw the cables through the conduits).
