Baron's Cap, Thoppigala as it's known in Sinhala is a piece of jungle in the eastern province whcich fell under the shadow of th terrorist control when the former president CBK in one of her many acts of idiocy moved troops out of the eastern province for a frontal attack on the Northern province tiger strong holds. That operation failed and the tigers gained control of this piece of jungle.

Since then then there were many operations to clear this patch and after the death of many valient soldiers the rock has finally been taken. Well done.

Now the questions to the politians: what is so imporant about capturing this piece of uninhabited land which most people in colombo hadn't even heard about till this year when Colombo itself has been lost?
