Yesterday Sri Lanka narrowly lost to South Africa thanks entirely to the stupidity of our captain. He does not like leg spin. So one of the best leg spinners in the world, Malinga Bandara had to sit out the match while Sri Lanka played three seamers.

South Africans are clueless against spin specially leg spin but they play seam up bowling pretty well. Vaas, Malinga and McGrath will tell you that it's not always true but it's true often enough as Maharoof and Mahela found to their great cost.

Sri Lanka has never had a real out and out quick bowler until Lasit Malinga came into the scene. Sri Lanka has not had an match winner leg spinner for a long long time. The other malinga is one. In the few occasions when he has played against South Africa, they faired miserably against him. But yet, he didn't play the all important match against them yesterday.
