Three months ago the government arrested a Tamil journalist and accused her of terrorist links. The real reason for the arrest was to suppress the press and freedom of expression.

She was held in detention for three months and now she has been released because they do not have evidence. It's a suprising that the country totally corrupt police force didn't cook up evidence. In the end she is free and the supposedly free press has about a dozen column inches on the topic. All the dailies have at least 3-4 full pages on the cricket world cup.
