Some months ago, when I took my daughter to the Vihara Maha Devi park with her bicycle a homeless child came upto us and asked if he could have a ride. My daughter refused. Children are like that. She couldn't be persuaded to change her mind and the homeless kid went away dejected, I felt very bad about it but there was not a lot i could do.

That bike was showing it's age and I bought a new bike for my daughter yesterday. Then she remembered the homeless kid and wanted to give he bike to the poor guy for keeps. So we went to the park today and looked for him but he couldn't be found. Then as we were about to leave who do we run into? the kid entering the park with his mother.

We offered the bike to him but his mother said no because they don't have a place to keep it but he pleaded with her. To see the kid ride away on it was worth a thousand dollars.
