Too much news.

March 1, 2007

The other day there was an attack by the LTTE on a group that included the US ambassador and the minister of WTF. Then yesterday there was an attack by the Sri Lanka Navy on an LTTE ship carrying a load of weapons. These events have overshadowed a more important event.

A director at Standard News Papers, the publishers of the 'Mowbima' and the Sunday Standard has been arrested. The government alleges that he has terrorist links. Then by the same token about 2 dozen members of parliament should also be arrested. The extremist buddhist monks tell anyone who cares to listen (and that includes the president) that the Tamil National Aliance with it's 22 members are a front for the LTTE. When the LTTE bosses say jump. TNA members ask how high.

What's really sad is that two formers ministers now say the ruling party itself has terrorist links.
