The eastern province is won. (Or at least the government forces control it during the day time. Terrorists infiltrate the towns and terrorise at night). The opposition is in totally disarray and lead by a man who cannot lead a scout troup. The cost of living is shooting through the roof but cricket world cup is around the corner and will take people's minds off it.

Now there is a blast in Colombo two spoil things. Eelection plans will have to be shelved. A two week postponement will be sufficient, no one in Sri Lanka can remember anything that happened more than 14 days ago.
