Independence Day.

Independence day was celebrated yesterday by the government in grand style at the cost of millions by closing down half the roads in the city to ensure the safety of our 2 cent politicians.
Though advertised as an independent country, when the Indian High Commissioner in Colombo says jump, our politicians ask "how high?"
