Porterhouse Blue.
September 29, 2006
Usually Tom Sharpe's, books are hilariously funny. You just can't help but laugh out loud at some of this writing. Unfortunately Porterhouse Blue doesn't fall into that category. It starts of very slowly and the first few chapters were struggle. And suprise, suprise, halfway through, the guy I thought at first to be the major character dies off!
this is one Tom Sharpe book that can hardly raise a smile, it's ending is rather sad. Oh maybe the fault is with me, I am finding even Carl Muller's writing to be less amusing than it used to be.
