Jack Higgins.

One of the books that I read earlier in the month was by Jack Higgins. It's so memorable that I have already forgotten it's title and the story. That's no suprise forgettable thrillers are his trade mark.

Hang on a second, didn't this guy write The Eagle has Landed and Luciano's luck? As usually happens with authors, once they write a best seller, they start to think they can write any drivel and the readers will just lap it up.

What I do remember about the recent read, was that it was one of his earliest books and it was originaly written using a different pen name. I have read one book that he had written using his real name (Harry Patterson). I think the name of the book is To Catch a King.
