Old bimmers in a small world.
August 4, 2006
I bought my first car on Aug 1, 2001. After five years, it's now time to part with the it. She is nice 16 year old beauty. A 1989, BMW 316i. The only reason that I want to get a new car is because the AC has kicked the bucket and to fix it will cost around a 100,000
Sadly spending 100,000 on a car that's worth only about 800,000 isn't a very good idea. So I have been looking for an E36 for a few weeks when a friend persuaded me to have a look at a Subaru forrester that was advertised on the sunday papers.
While going for a test drive we had a chat and I mentioned that I wasn't really keen on getting a 318i and if the price is really right a 320D. Then the owner of the Subaru mentioned that he had one of the first BMWs to arrive here in the late 80s. I mentioned that I have one of those now and asked him for the number of the car. It's 16-7447. What a small world we live in.
