The Galle Face Green (which is no longer green) is dedicated to the ladies and children of colombo. Today it was out of bounds to Ladies, Children and everyone elese.

Well the green itself wasn't out of bounds but today parking was not allowed on the Galle Face center road, effectively ruling it out of bounds for everyone. The reason is probably because the dictator was travelling along that road. Before he actually sets off, all roads and b roads along his route will be blocked by the police causing immense hardship to the voters. But people get the government they deserve.

With the Galle face being out of bounds, we took our daughter to victoria park instead. Victoria park is now Vihara Maha Devi park. Why is it then that they have moved, nay dumped a statue of Queen victoria at the park?
