Motion Blur.
June 27, 2006
Is motion blur the in thing in photography these days? I hope not. If you look at Sri Lankan newspapers more than half the shots seem to have some amount of motion blur in it. This to me is a sign of negligence and dropping standards. Surely they should use a faster shutter speed.
I doubt if any news photographer uses a film camera these days, so they have absolutely no excuse for not shooting at a higher ISO if using a faster shutter is out of the question.
Surely the photo editors at the newspaper should know to reject these Martinis, instead they appear to do the exact opposite.
Then I was in for a nasty suprise when I visited, Dominic's blog, even he seems to be doing it, that's what made me think this the latest trend in photography rather than the institutionalized laziness of news photographers.
I have thousands of badly shaken night shots. May be I should conduct an exibition!
