I used to be a reader but not any more. I only read about 10-20 books per year now. While in school, there were times when I used to consume more than one book each week.

While in school and in university I never got to read any of Wilbur Smith's books. After having read warlock a couple of days ago, I realized just how fortunate i have been to have missed his writings alltogether.

Warlock is a terrible book. So why did I read it? well once I start reading, I usually read it to the end. It's very very rarely that I leave a book half read. Warlock is just an excercise in Sadism, pretending to be a work of fantasy.

If you want fantasy stick to Tolkien.
