The wrath of the lion

March 12, 2005

What's that the wrath of the lion? does it have something to do with sinhala extremists? well unforutanately not. Sinhala nationalists are a confused lot, though the lion proudly adorns our flag, lions never lived in this country.

The wrath of the lion is an old book by Hack Higgins. Lion droppings would have been a better name. It is hard to think that this is the same author of The Eagle Has Landed.

The novel if you could call it that is more like a story that was written down after watching one of those low budget tv films where the ruthless killer slashes everyone's throat but that of our hero. The hero is just locked up in a dark room from which he escapes and brings the culprits to justice.

Obviously Jack Higgins has been watching too much television.
