Anavilundava in the news
July 6, 2004
The ink hasn't even dried on my blog entry on Anavilundava yet and the name has cropped up again this time on prime time news. Unfortunately it's not because of the birds. reasons.
Unfortunately a police inspector had lost his life in a traffic accident while giving chase to a suspected criminal. It's indeed very sad and my sympathies lies with this family and friends.
It's been a long time since I last heard of a policeman actually giving chase after a criminal - after all it can be rather dangerous and if you have to chase on foot it can be a bit strenous.
As with any generalisation there are exceptions and the truth is there exists a small number of honest policemen who are efficient, honest and dedicated to their duty. You need the skills of a trained detective to find them but they do exists sadly it looks like their numbers have diminished by one.
