Don't act like dogs and donkeys

That is apparently what a magistrate had told a police officer (according to the newspapers). This come in the wake of a huge muddle to arrest a senior minister of the previous government (a member of the present parliament)

Both political parties are now sending up a lot of smoke signals to blur the distinction between what's right and what's wrong. However in Sri Lankan politics the political parties are usually in the wrong.

According to what was reported in the media, a team of police officers had gone to arrest this former minister, he had called his lawyer and some other MPs who had argued with the police officers and in the event the arrest had not taken place. The state media mafia then accused the other MPs of resorting to thuggery and obstructing police work. That begs the question as to why they were not arrested for that offence.
