While the UPFA is making a pathetic attempt (with the help of the publics ignorance of arithmatic) to show that they have a 2/3 majority in parliament (they dont' even have the numbers for a simple majority) , they are keeping another stat well under wraps.

Of the 105 seats won by the UPFA about 65 belong to SLFP members. Out of these 65 members of parliament 60 have been made ministers or deputy ministers. That means nearly 90% of the members of parliament have been made ministers.

In this back drop the couragous act of MP Arjuna Ranathunga is worthy of very high praise.
