A mediocre former cricketer was recently appointed as a match referee by the ICC. To get his five minues of fame he decided to call Murali a chucker during his first series as a referee.

As a result of this murali has had to undergo some in depth analysis of his bowling action at an university in australia. Now according to this mornings papers. The university has handed over it's report to the Sri Lankan cricket authorities.

The cricket authorities have not yet gone public with this report - what does it mean?. Surely if it is good news the board would have gone to town? The cricket board hasn't been having a lot of good news lately so they would jump at the chance.

Thus the referees five minutes of fame might become something bigger.
