The first results from the just concluded election results have just come in. A handfull of postal voting results have been announced and it seems the UNF is heading for a rout. The UPFA may be able to change the constitution 'constitutionaly' after all because they have the 2/3 majority at least in the postal voting.

The monks might also be able to get one MP elected from each district. These results are only a drop in the bucket with several hundred more to come but things are looking real bad for the UNF.

On election day for many people it was a matter of covering their nose and voting UNF or voting UPFA and hope that the country will not be dragged back to a war.
