No Coal Power Please.

March 22, 2004

The UNF has threatened to go ahead with the building of not one but two coal power plants in this beautifull country.

As we all know coal power is one of the dirtiest forms of generating energy, with the kind of dirty practices followed at tender procedures in this country we will only get the worst grades of coal (though it will be marked as the finest). With in months of the power plant being set up we will lose what is left of our forest cover.

All those who shed 'crocodile tears' about the plight of the farmers maintain a stony silence on the effects of acid rain on agricultural lands.

What about the fishing industry? even if the fish survives the acid rain or massive doeses of heavy metals that rain down on them will they be fit enough to eat?

Pleasae write the UNF and express your displeasure.
