The coastal towns of Trincomalee and Batticaloa are some of the most beautifull places in Sri Lanka. At the turn of the century only very small number of people living outside the north and east had ever visited these towns.

In 2002 and 2003 people flocked to the east coast in their droves, many of them also visited the northern pennisula. So why are these people subcsribing to the theory that the peace process will lead to the division of the country?

Sri Lankans will believe anything that you tell them if you repeat it long enough and speak very loudly.
