Sri Lankans has two species of dangerous felines - Lions and Tigers. The tigers are known the world over as a very dangerous animal. The tigers that are black in color are said to be more dangerous. The lion as we all know cannot really hunt, it's a lioness that does the hunting and the lioness is very effective at driving other animals out of the forests.

The 'tigers' themselves were born with because of the misadventures of the 'lions'. The lions over the last fifty years did lots of things they shouldn't have done. As a result the tigers were born and they soon started to gobble up the lions. The lions on the other hand don't have an affinity for tiger meat,
but they frequently attack the tigers in their caves to drive them out, only to see black tigers invade their own caves and devour the lion cubs.

Two summers back a vegetarian lion spoke to the tigers and suggested that they too should become vegetarians so that everyone can eat the grass in peace. The tigers were getting tired of lion meat and started talking to the lions about vegetarianism.

Just when the tigers were on the verge of becoming not just vegetarians but vegans, a bunch of flesh eating lions lead by the alpha female, chased out the vegetarian lion. Now it seems that the tigers haven't learnt everything they wanted to know about vegetarinism and you can hear their stomachs rumbling. Some tigers say they wouldn't mind eating up other tigers as long instead of eating grass.
