The country was assured not too long ago that the power cuts of 2001 will never be repeated. Now today's daily mirror is carrying a desparate plea from the electricity board asking people to conserve electricity. This is the very same organization that's planning to drown the St Clair water fall in a hydroelectricity project that no one wants. It is the same organization that allowed the cricket matches to be played under blaze of floodlights when we have more sun shine than we need.

Perhaps all this is a ploy to drive the country towards those coal power projects that no one wants.
