Sri Lankans have a love hate relationship with the australian cricketers. Most people just love to hate them. This dates back to 1995 when two Australian umpires made a grave error in judgement and called Muttiah Muralitharan a 'chucker'

Thus to the great delight of many a Sri Lankan, Murali has managed to bowl them out on the first day of the First Cricket match at Galle.

Getting bowled out on the first day of a test match is not something that the australians are used to. The first day definitely belonged to the Sri Lankans, the second day was just beginning to go
the austrialian way when one Thilakaratne in the side stepped in and took it away from them.

Not to be outdone the other Thilakaratne in the side, noted for his negative batting and captaincy has handed over the third day to the aussies. He was ably assited in this task by one Samaraweera.

Sri Lankan cricket team is best known for their consistent and time tested skills at letting the opposition off the hook.
